TIMOTHY AND THE APOCALYPSE
Timothy and the Apocalypse AKA The Time Meddler, Charly Whatever, L0VR, SØLN and Jay Wellmax.
With the intent of adding ambience to Armageddon, Australian artist and producer Timothy Poulton started to push his cinematic indie sounds out from behind the moniker Timothy and the Apocalypse in 2021.
The 2021 LP Future So Bright tested the polluted waters. It instantly attracted seekers of sonic sanctity and tastemakers in the downtempo trip-hop scene by securing placements from the Mindful Cherub on Spotify’s Just Chill and Nightshift editorial playlists, alongside Four Tet, Bonobo, Tim Shiel, and Emancipator.
Three LPs and a smorgasbord of psychedelically light and devilishly shadowed singles down, the kaleidoscopic sonic landscapes continue to construct inviting alternative dimensions to physical reality.
